Only my two penneth worth and as I have vowed not to comment on individual performances it will be shorter than normal - here goes:
Some of the refereeing performances today were a joke - both sides were penalised for reasons that still baffle me - as for the ref talking to 'Speedy' for taking a man into touch over the railings tackling whilst in the field of play - explain that? - for those Newport supporters that complained - perhaps you would like to see a wall of cushions next to the pitch - get over it !!! Having said that taking a man out whilst a few feet above the ground and no card means we probably got away with that one.
Our dessimated back line paid the price for lack of pace / vision / physicality today - with so many players out for Dragons / Under 20 duty / holiday - I was really pleased considering - We are after all a part of the development of the system for Welsh rugby - if the new consultation for the Premiership document is to be believed / followed then this is the shape of things to come - nice to see that we, 'little' Bedwas RFC have more representatives for the Dragons / Under 20's than our 'bigger' neighbours - WRU please note and please support the teams that support you with more finance
As for the game - a game we could have and should have won if it were not for: (and yes the *******'s are deliberate so not to offend anyone) ********** and ****** ****** *** and as for ****** ****** ********** doing ********* ****** *** * ** **** ******* ******** ************ ** ** ***** **** ****** ** ******* in ******* ********* *******, then ******** ****** **** **** and ********** ********** ********* **** ******** ************ ***** *******, then there was ***** **** * ***** ************ **** with the ****** ***** *** **********, all in all some ***** ******** ************* ********* ********* *** ****** * ****** ******** *** ***** ****** ***, ****, ****, **** !!!!!! ;D
A big positive for me today Matthew Minty being drafted in from the second team to play his first game at senior level - after some initial nerves did well and provided a great pass after breaking through to gift Matt Pizey his try - well done Matt !!! We need to see more boys breaking through from the seconds to secure the future of our club with home grown talent !!!!
A game we had chances to win if kicks had gone over - alas it was not to be - the ref did his best to give it to us I thought - Mr. Jones is the next breed of international ref apparently?

Anyway enough said (or not as the case may be) - at least it's not the league - enjoy the rest boys, Ebbw Vale at home and Llanelli away in a couple of weeks !
